Playing the roles of power
Theatre Workshop
Art School Thessaloniki
December 2016
Shakespeare’s characters have titles, grades and rank in the hierarchy. Each of them has to play a proper role in the drama of monarchy. They behave according to their office and follow protocols in order to communicate.
The participants explore the rules that apply to the Elizabethan era, the problems of power and dominion, class and order, and the rights of citizens in Shakespeare’s lifetime.
